Thailand Tsunami 2004 (Carabao) - contains disturbing images

Thailand Tsunami 2004 (Carabao) - contains disturbing images Tube. Duration : 7.42 Mins.

WARNING - CONTAINS SOME DISTURBING IMAGES Follow my blog thebuddhasface.blogspot.com I was in Thailand on Boxing Day on the beach at Ko Samet when the news began to filter in about the disaster that shook the world. Back home I reflected at my luck in choosing the Bay of Thailand over the Andaman Sea and of the terrible loss of so many lives. So I was moved to make this tribute - the music is by Carabao,a hugely popular Thai folk rock group which was released to help raise money for the survivors. The second song is by a Thai female singer and is the same song but in English but I don't know her name. The images were all taken from google images. Why did I do this - to be honest I don't really know but at the time I felt I just had to - the music is so poignant and heartfelt and meant to help with the healing and by playing over the pictures may help in some way to exorcise the spirits. I end with hope and children smiling and monks blessing - the human spirit and that of extraordinary ordinary people is what ultimately shines through. May they rest in peace. Lyrics translated Wipe Your Tears Andaman Never a thought, could not imagine. No chance to prepare. Overcast skies, trembling earth. Never experienced, never seen. Never given it a thought. What is a Tsunami? I only know Sasimi. It came as Death. Swooping in destroying the beach. It crushed everything into ruins... Tsunami Never considered, never counted. So many dead bodies. The earth is crying over the merciless sea ...
