They came to the hotel for a rest after mid night and scheduled to submit a petition for fairly treated to Red Shirts in the next morning. Police commando showed up and stormed the room with gun fires and tear gases. Arissaman P. safely escaped through the window from the 3rd floor. A thousand Red Shirts arrived at the hotel not to long and guarded the UDD leaders.

Die Botschaften der EU-Staaten stellen die Versorgung mit Vitaminen und Zusatznahrung für ihre verurteilten Staatsangehörigen sicher, damit sie am Leben bleiben. Das Gefängnis steht auf der Beobachtungsliste von Amnesty International.Viele von ihnen wurden zu lebenslangen Haftstrafen verurteilt, viele aber auch zum Tode, denn der Handel mit Drogen gehört zu den schwersten Straftaten in Thailand. Während bis ins Jahr 2003 die zum Tode Verurteilten mit Maschinengewehren erschossen wurden, wird das Todesurteil heute per Giftspritze vollzogen. Der Leichnam eines toten Insassen wird schließlich entweder von der Familie abgeholt oder dem Mönch, der seit 17 Jahren neben dem Gefängnis wohnt, übergeben.
