If you conclude on vacationing in New Providence, you could spend your first morning in the middle of Nassau taking a look at all of the historic sights. At the noon hour you could then spend some time partaking of a slow lunch and then take time from the rest of your day to do some serious shopping. For the absolutely adventurous at heart, that feel lucky, you could test your luck in one or both of the two casinos to be found here. There is one on Cable Beach and other one at the Atlantis resort on close by Paradise Island.

On the second day of your getaway you can start by checking out the gorgeous sights on the island's eastern region. These consist of St. Augustine's Monastery and the Retreat. Then you can keep on going to the west and go on around the island. You might wish to spend some time visiting the Commonwealth Brewery or even the Bacardi Distillery. Afterwards you can head back toward Nassau.

Stop off at Arawak Cay to have a quick, native-style lunch. Then you can continue on and stop to see the Nassau Botanic Gardens, Fort Charlotte or Ardastra Gardens and Conservation Center. On the last day of your mini-vacation you can spend the day on Paradise Island. On Paradise Island you can gallivant through the Atlantis resort. Go ahead and visit the thinkable, 3-mile-long Cabbage Beach or gorgeous Paradise Beach. You may also like to try spending a few minutes in the charming Versailles Gardens.

Then, if you still have any vigor left and are seeing for something fun to do, then water sports abound.

It's all the time fun to get away for a summer weekend. Especially when you have a nice place to go. But what in the world should you pack for a summer weekend get-away. Here are a few items that everybody should pack when going away for the weekend, no matter where that get-away location is.

Clothes- Obviously you will want to pack clothes for your weekend get-away. The type and number of clothing will depend on your location and how single you are. My normal rule of thumb is to pack the same number of outfits as days we will be gone, plus one. For example, if we will be going on a three day weekend get-away then I will pack four unblemished outfits for each day. By doing this I will give myself more variety and have an extra outfit just in case my children rule to spill something on me one day. You just never know what will happen, so pack one extra.

Swimsuit- all the time pack a swimsuit when you are going on a weekend get-away. You could be going to the beach, to the mountains or plainly to the middle of nowhere, but all the time pack a swimsuit. You may want to go swimming or just do some sunbathing, whether way you will regret not bringing that swimsuit if it turns out that you do nothing else but need it.

Toiletries- Toiletries are all the time required when you go on a summer weekend get-away, or any get-away for that matter. I all the time end up running off and forgetting something so I all the time have to make myself a list weeks in improve so that I can keep adding to it when I think of something else to take along. You will want to bring things like haircare products (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, hairspray, etc.), personal care products (deodorant, cologne, toothpaste & toothbrushes), contact lens or eyeglasses case and whatever else are you usual toiletries. Try to only take things that you know you will need for the weekend or else you will be taking along far too much luggage for a straightforward weekend get-away.

Sunglasses/Sunhat- Have you ever arrived somewhere only to perceive that you have forgotten your sunglasses? I have, and I can tell you that it is very unenjoyable. You never know when something interesting, gorgeous or just plain funny will draw your concentration and make you want to catch it on camera for posterity.
